Don’t call Lopez Roofing in Santa Fe
If you ever have a problem with your roof in the Santa Fe area I can only suggest you don’t call Lopez Roofing for help. We had a terrible experience with them in the past few weeks.
When we had a minor leak in our utility room, it took us weeks to get them out here and fix the problem although we’ve been promised a speedier response several times on the phone.
Just last week after the first strong snowfall we had a leak emergency. Our phone calls to Lopez Roofing were not returned and it took them almost a day to tell us that they won’t be able to assist us, although we’ve been trying to get them out here for a few weeks already. The friendly lady in the office told us, that she did not know about the workers schedule and that it was impossible for her to get a hold of them on the job. Maybe it’s time to invest in some cell phones?
Luckily we managed to get an emergency appointment with ABC roofing who not only showed up on time and fixed the leak, but also warned us that the previous job by Lopez was incomplete.
So, if you are in the same situation as we were, do yourself a favour and don’t call Lopez Roofing.
December 30, 2003
Dear Thoellri,
While it is not clear to us which job you refer to in your December 8, 2002 complaint posted on your blog, we would like to take this opportunity to apologize for your unfortunate experience with our company, Lopez Roofing Service, Inc.
Here at Lopez Roofing, we are committed to fine workmanship and superior customer service. If you would detail your experience in a letter to us (you can find our mailing addresses on our web site at http://www.lopezroofing.com), we would happily review it, make every attempt to improve our scheduling and customer service practices, and insure that you and our current and future customers get the kind of service and product that you expect and deserve.
Your recommendation for an investment in cell phones is well taken. For many years, our Santa Fe and Albuquerque offices have had shortwave radio and cell phone contact with all our employees during business hours. Additionally, we maintain project schedules and our highly experienced journeymen track our employees at all times. We were surprised and dismayed to read that our office staff was unable to schedule an appointment for you. For that, we apologize; however, you can rest assured that it was an oversight and not intentional. Our customers are very important to us and we would never intentionally underestimate our response time.
We are pleased to hear that your roof leak was repaired to your satisfaction. ABC Roofing is an excellent company and has done very good work throughout the Santa Fe area. It is our practice here at Lopez Roofing to refer customers to our high-quality competitors when our schedule does not permit us to work on small residential jobs.
Again, please accept our apologies. We at Lopez Roofing hope that you will reconsider doing business with us in the future. We take pride in our high quality roofs; our status as a licensed, bonded and insured roofing company; our contributions to the community; and our memberships with the National Roofing Contractors Association and the Better Business Bureau.
We wish you and your family a happy holiday season and a bright new 2004!
Sincerely,
Arthur & JoAnn Lopez
