According to my (unscientific) observations today, you may want to wash your hands in 60% of the cases after you shook a man’s hand.
Why? I arrived at Denver airport this morning at 8:15am and decided that I needed a break in the next bathroom after all the coffee I had this morning. It seemed like ten flights had come in at the same time and all the men on those flights had the same “issue”. Well, I find a bathroom that is more populated than usual with about 20 men working on their too-much-coffee problem.
After the act I do as I learned and wander over to the place where they provide those white bowls with running water and soap. To my surprise I’m the only one in there. From the corner of my eye I see fellow coffee-releasers wander by and leave the bathroom. Only a few join me for a splash at the sink.
My unscientific mind records the ration between washers:non-washers as 40:60, which leads us back to the hand-shaking statement in the first paragraph.
Gross ….
