A typical morning

Now that the little bean is crawling around the whole house, things have changed quite a lot. We’re faced with new challenges and have to start thinking more like babies, in order to anticipate her “next move”. Here’s just one example of a typical morning:

First she crawls out of the bedroom, around the corner and looks at the bookshelf. Teething and books lead to this:

Then, after we are done swallowing a novel, we go to the kitchen and have some real breakfast. After we are done eating we go down to the floor and crawl around a bit more. We discover the dog bowls and splash with the water in one bowl. Dady gets upset because the kitchen looks like a swimming pool and takes the baby plus Tupperware-filled-with-water outside to the terrace. Baby continues the splashing and manages to empty the whole plastic container over herself.

Baby is soaking wet, Mommy screams, grabs the baby, takes her to her room and changes her.

And the baby has only been awake for an 1.5 hrs …. wonder what the rest of the day will bring?!

Arrogance at work

“The reason I keep insisting that there was a relationship between Iraq and Saddam and al-Qaeda is because there was a relationship between Iraq and al-Qaeda,” Bush told reporters after a meeting with his Cabinet.

Baby getting fashion aware (it had to happen sooner or later) and seems to enjoy getting dressed up. Here’s Pia in a dress (thanks Jennifer) just after she got changed and cleaned up:
