New tripod and shooting table arrived

After taking more and more jewelry photos in the recent past, I decided it was time to replace the aging Bogen tripod. I got something cheap off ebay from www.amvona.com. With the tripod I also got a shooting table and yesterday afternoon I took them for a test drive. Dead leaf had to model.

Blast from the past: Lasik

I just found the video of my Lasik Eye Surgery again and uploaded it to Google Video for preservation. If you want something gross for breakfast and can access Google Video from where you are, then hop on over here: Tobias’s Lasik Eye Surgery in 2000

Baby Shoes

We emptied the storage unit where we had “stuff” stored since we moved from the Tano-Road area to Tesuque. Boxes and boxes of goodies reappeared. Candice found the baby shoes (not Pia’s) in one container and hung them up on the fire-place in the media room. I couldn’t help it and had to photograph them today.

Big baby in hot Tesuque

I don’t know if it is the food, the fresh air or something else: this little Pia of ours is growing like a weed lately. Pants that fit just a week ago suddenly seem to be to tight.

And let’s not talk about those feet! I’m almost afraid that she will go after her dad, which means that she’s going to end up with size 13 feet. She is certainly on the way to some big, big footsies:

Also looks like the face is getting rounder and rounder:

There’s also some very unusually warm weather going on here. The last few days we hit consistently 60 degrees during the day. While some parts of this world (Bavaria for example) seem to drown in snow, we don’t get anything here. No rain, no snow, not even some fog. If it goes on like this we are going to have a dry, dry summer.
On Sunday the three of us were playing outside and we went up to the roof of the house. Here’s Pia and myself blinded by sunlight:

And a much more photogenic couple sitting on the side of the roof with the Jemez mountains and Los Alamos in the far distance:
