Do dogs get brain-freeze?

I just dropped two ice cubes on the floor in the kitchen. Max came over and chewed them down in no time. Had I done the same, I would be sitting there in severe brain-freeze pain. He did not seem to mind at all. Wonder if dogs are affected the same way as people are?

By the way I read somewhere that pressing your tongue against the top of your mouth while in brain-freeze pain will make the effect last a lot shorter.

Max is such a cutie. Glad to know he doesn’t get brain-freeze. Also quite happy to see that he doesn’t have any buggers up his nose with your up-angle photo!
