Santa Fe New Mexican: ‘Alarming’ number of red-light violations recorded

Santa Fe new Mexican: ‘Alarming’ number of red-light violations recorded. I’ve been driving all over the world, I even had a rental car in Bangkok during one of my trips. However, driving in New Mexico is an experience that is pretty unique. This article describes one of the things that I’m most surprised about in this state: It happens almost every time I drive through town. A light turns from yellow to red, you slow down, stop at the intersection with the red light. A few seconds (!) later somebody whooshes right past you through the intersection. I’m not talking about fractions of seconds, no, whole seconds and a few of them.

I started to be really careful when I’m first at an intersection when the lights turn to green … you never know.
