Places I lived at …

This morning I played around with Google Earth and decided to catalog all the places I lived at so far. If you happen to have Google Earth installed, you can follow me on a trip through Germany, The Netherlands, California and New Mexico. Click on the following link: Tobias_homes.kmz. Then find “Tobias_homes” in your “Places” section of Google Earth. Select it and hit “Play” (the little triangle at the bottom of “Places”). Depending on your connection speed, you may have to “pause” between the indivial place marks in order to allow Google Earth to download the details for the current place mark.

What next? Perhaps I should make a separate one for vacation spots?

Excellent use of the mapping technology. Having seen this I decided to do the same thing but with plain Google maps.

Interesting - thanks Shahram. I’ve done something similar with the Google Maps API for our local home owners association to map all the individual lots here in the neighborhood. Was quite the hit with people here.
