A bunny, a sheep and a coyote

I love to be surprised and the little one just did it again. Besides learning how to blow up balloons today, she did something else that totally amused me. We are walking the dogs to her favorite spot (the one with all the tiny water melons) and she looks at the sky and says a “a bunny!”. I look all around on the ground for little rabbits trying to avoid what happened just a few days ago. Can’t see no bunny on the ground. So I ask Pia where the bunny is and she raises her arm and points towards the sky. Sure enough, there is a cloud-bunny all the way up there, supersized. A minute later she spots a sheep followed by a coyote. We need to take a break and sit down in order to see all the animals around us. It makes me happy to see her imagination at work, because it reminds me of my own past when I walked the dog(s) all by myself, stared into the sky and tried to form scenes from random clouds. I still catch myself doing it, but Pia just rekindled that flame big time and she needs a big squeeze for that.

PS: the above photo was shot just as I started writing this post. don’t you love them NM skies?
