Kate Winslet …

Kate Winslet in “Little Children”

During one of my sleepless mid-mornings (around 3am) I happened to stumble over Little Children on one of the movie channels. I caught it at the very beginning and within minutes was glued to the screen and could not bring myself to switch off the TV until I had seen the whole movie. The main reason for it was the fact that Kate Winslet starred in it. Not the “Titanic”-Kate Winslet, but the woman she has become since then.

A lot of her movies are on my favorites list, including: “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind”, “Holy Smoke” and “Finding Neverland”. Even the more mainstream “The Holiday” is a pleasure to watch.

No matter what role she takes on, she really makes you think she is who she is supposed to be. I’m taping “Hideous Kinky” and “All the King’s Men” in the next few days and can’t wait to watch those as well.
