Griessnockerl Suppn
Help! We used the last package of Nockerlgriess this weekend. There’s no more Griessnockerl Suppn (grits ball soup) until we stock some more. I think we are going to try germandeli.com this time.

Boy, that looks de-lish! Happy Pia is enjoying German food, too! My, she is growing up so fast and I last saw her about a month ago and she’s looking even older than then…such dramatic change in a month! Must be the good “suppn” she’s getting!!!! Love, Ohma

Those Griesnockerl are very nice. My grandmother used to make them for me all the time. She made them herself from scratch. It is not difficult. You just need some semolina, flour and eggs. No need to order from delis online.

have you ever tried using grits? i, too, ran out of nockerlgriess and am desperate. my husband tries to convince me to use grits but i am skeptical, they seem much too coarse.

No, I’ve never tried grits. I think I was always lucky enough to have nockergriess on my hands when needed.
