Since Pia started to go to kindergarten, she’s also owner of one of the “Laptop Lunches” bento-style boxes. Yes, they are a bit pricey, but I think it’s worth it in the long run. We used lots of one-time plastic baggies in the past and the box has saved quite a lot of plastic and other wrappers already.

The “Laptop Lunches” guys also post a once-a-week recipe idea on their web site. Here’s the one from this week, Garden Pancakes:

Some of the lunches may be a little bit over the top for early morning preparation, but you can adapt the ideas to dinners and then use the left-overs for lunch the next day.
