Last weekend I went to the IRS’s “Where’s my refund?” page to check on the status of my return. It’s been about three weeks since the documents were e-filed and I expected to see the refund money soon. In fact I’ll need some of the money to pay for last year’s solar installation.

I thought that filing early would help the IRS and would allow me to receive my refund early. Well, surprisingly it says that I won’t be seeing the money until some time in May. Quote: “Your expected refund date has been changed due to processing delays”.

Next year I’ll file last minute again like the majority out there …
