Volvo On Call Plus problem resolved
A few days the Volvo dealership here in Santa Fe removed the “On Call Plus” system from our XC70. We didn’t like the fact that the car constantly complained about the expired system. You can read the original story here.
I’m also happy to report that they did it on “goodwill” basis (here’s part of the section from the garage’s receipt):

Kudos to Volvo for taking care of this and not charging us. If you’re in a similar situation and have been told you have to pay for the removal, you may want to use this post as a reference …
The original problem report above has received quite a number of hits from all around the world. Some of them also seem to come from Volvo Corporate locations.
Hi! I´m an (crazy?) XC70 driver from Germany. Just found your side with google (cause I have done a search for the SOS button).
Tanks for your explaination of the Volvo System. There are to less pics of your car on that website!!

All the other pics are great! Your a much better photographer than I
Greeting from Germany!

I own a 2003 S80-T6, with OCP which I don’t use. I spoke to Volvo about deactivating it. What you don’t mention is that if Volvo deactivated the OCP the change is PERMANENT. You can never reactivate it again. This could adversely affect the car’s resale/trade-in value.
Regards.
